Harry, Zelda and Antoinette, 2005

The work consists of six parts, each composed of some twelve to twenty multi-screen films. It was designed to be compiled as one film where each scene plays simultaneously as a discrete file, one image next to the other, montage not as one shot after another but one next to the other where each images audio track, plays one after the other, until finished and the next set of images, the next sequence plays.

It is a study for Zanzibar, an illusive place where everything is as it seems, and narrative is a performed event. It explores metaphor for the illumination of reality (and unreality) in our desires, longings and fears. Two brothers, one an intellectual, the other, a man of appetite. Two wives, an artist and a madame. Three children - one shared between them. Each character in love and in search of beauty and ideals.
